"Today I am a very Lucky Woman!"

'Eight years later, I am strong and healthy'

I found out I had breast cancer in April of 2000. I was lucky. My doctors kept checking. My mammogram had a small spot. They didn't think it was anything, but sent me back to my gynecologist, who didn't think it was anything but sent me to a surgeon. He didn't think it was anything, but he sent me to have a needle biopsy. The radiologist didn't think it was anything, but he said heíd call me the next day. Of course, it was something. I opted for a mastectomy. I wanted it gone. I had four rounds of chemo and I was finished. Eight years later, I am strong and healthy. I couldn't have done it without my Faith, my family, and my friends (especially Theresa and Debbie). I am a very Lucky woman.
