Today I am BLESSED!

With so much cancer in my life, when I discovered a small, marble-like lump in my left breast, I wasted no time in getting to the doctor who scheduled surgery in two days.  At the age of 36, a radical mastectomy was preformed followed by 20 days of cobalt.  Family and friends helped my husband with our three son (ages 3,11, & 13) and with driving 120 miles round trip to San Antonio for my treatments.

April 6 thru October 6, 1968 was the World's Hemis Fair in San Antonio, so while in the Nix Hospital right down in the middle of town, out my window, I saw security every where as Martin Luther King had been assassinated two days before the opening ceremonies.

I could not have survived my cancer battle without the help of the Lord, the church, family & friends. I've been blessed with forty years of remission.
